In a setback to Jan Suraaj party founder Prashant Kishor ahead of the Bankipur assembly bypoll, several leaders, including candidates who contested last year’s Bihar assembly elections on the party’s ticket, joined the BJP on Wednesday. Those inducted into the BJP by the party’s state president Sanjay Saraogi included renowned mathematician KC Sinha and Ritesh Ranjan alias Bittu Singh, who had contested as Jan Suraaj candidates from the adjoining Kumhrar and Digha seats, respectively. CUET UG 2026 Provisional answer key out at cuet.nta.nic.in; candidates can raise objections till June 11

CUET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer keys for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026. Along with the answer keys, the agency has also made available candidates’ question papers and recorded responses on the official website. Students who appeared for the examination can access these documents by visiting the official CUET portal and logging in with their credentials. The agency has also opened the objection window, allowing candidates to challenge any answer they believe is incorrect. Over 15 Lakh Candidates Registered CUET UG 2026 was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across examination centres in India and overseas. The examination was held in multiple shifts between 11 May and 31 May, and again on 6 June and 7 June, 2026. According to NTA, a total of 15,68,867 candidates registered for the entrance examination this year. Sana Satish Babu, Bhashyam Ramakrishna and Chintakayala Vijay filed their nominations as the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections on Monday. They submitted their nomination papers to Returning Officer R. Vanitha Rani at the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Leaders of the alliance partners, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Jana Sena Party (JSP), participated in the nomination process and signed the papers as proposers. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its official list of candidates for the upcoming biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, as well as the Karnataka Legislative Council, party sources said.  The announcement was made through a press release issued late Sunday evening by the party’s central office in New Delhi.
