The Army Public School in Delhi Cantonment received a bomb threat email on Monday, prompting security agencies to launch a search operation on the premises, a Delhi Fire Services official said. As reported by news agency PTI, the school administration informed the authorities in the morning after receiving the mail that warned of an explosive device planted on the campus. A senior police officer, while briefing about the incident, said, “We are verifying the source of the email. So far, nothing suspicious has been found. As a precautionary measure, a thorough search operation is underway on the school premises, which has been vacated,” as cited by news agency PTI. Furthermore, the cyber cell has been roped in to trace the origin of the email and identify the sender, the police officer further added. The Karnataka High Court has temporarily halted the felling of 371 trees located on an 8.61-acre property at the Cantonment Railway Station colony in Bengaluru in the wake of a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the move. “No trees standing on the subject land shall be cut or damaged,” the division bench of Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice C M Poonacha directed the railways and other authorities on Wednesday, while posting the case for February 13, 2026, and issuing notices over the plea. New Delhi: In the wake of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following the recent terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, a full-scale blackout drill was carried out on Sunday night at the Ferozepur Cantonment in Punjab. The exercise, held from 9:00 PM to 9:30 PM, was conducted under the directive of the Station Commander and the President of the Cantonment Board to test emergency preparedness. The mock blackout was implemented across the entire Cantonment area, with residents instructed to ensure total darkness — including turning off inverters, generators, or any external light sources.
