The National Testing Agency has issued a fresh set of clarifications for students preparing to appear for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination, while also announcing that the fee refund portal will become active today. The detailed FAQ document released by the agency comes weeks after the cancellation of the original NEET UG exam conducted on May 3 following the paper leak controversy that triggered nationwide outrage and a CBI investigation. According to the NTA, the NEET UG 2026 re-test will now be held on June 21 in offline pen-and-paper mode across centres in India and abroad. NEET UG Re-Exam Date And Timing The agency stated that the examination will take place on Sunday, June 21, from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Shiv Sena workers staged a protest outside the Renukai Career Centre (RCC) headquarters in Maharashtra’s Latur on Monday after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested the institute’s founder, reported the PTI. Supporters of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena gathered outside the coaching centre, raised slogans against Motegaonkar and threw ink on RCC signboards. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a National Testing Agency (NTA)-appointed senior Botany teacher from Pune in connection with the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) paper leak case. She is suspected to be the co-mastermind behind the leak of the Biology question paper, an official told news agency IANS on Saturday. The accused, Manisha Gurunath Mandhare, is the second Pune teacher after Chemistry professor PV Kulkarni to be identified and arrested after interrogation, CBI said in a statement. She was involved in the NEET-Undergraduate (UG) 2026 Examination process and was appointed by NTA as an expert. Mandhare had complete access to the Biology question paper, the probe agency said. The Nashik Police in Maharashtra on Tuesday detained a man in connection with the suspected NEET paper leak case whose custody was later taken by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), officials said, reported the PTI.
