CBSE Board Exams 2025: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday announced a series of measures to make travel smoother and hassle-free for the CBSE students appearing for class 10 and 12 board exams in the national capital. The Class 10 board exams will commence on Saturday, February 15 and end on March 18, 2025. Whereas, class 12 board exams will also start on February 15 and conclude on April 4, 2025. In a post on X, Delhi Metro said that students carrying their CBSE admit cards will be given priority during security checks at metro stations. Delhi Metro will also be making special centralised announcements at stations. “Students showing their Admit Cards will also be prioritized while purchasing tickets at Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care (CC) centers,” reads the post. As students make last minute preparations it’s time to know important exam day instructions for a pleasant experience without any hassles. CBSE released a list permitting the following items in the exam centre. List of items not allowed in the exam centre Textual material, printed or written bits of papers and calculator. Communication devices such as mobile phone, bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, smart watch, camera, and others are not allowed inside exam hall. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday rejected reports suggesting reduction in the syllabus of class 10 and 12 by 15 percent for 2025 board exam and plans to conduct open-book exams in select subjects. The board issued a clarification after some news outlets reported that CBSE has introduced reduction in the syllabus for the 2025 board exams. The reports claimed that the changes were to be made in order to reduce stress of the students. However, the board said that it has not taken any such policy decision, terming such reports baseless. “The board has not issued any such notice or made any changes to the evaluation system or examination policy and information related to the Board’s policy decisions is only published through the Board’s official website or through authorised channels,” said the board. CBSE also clarified that it has not made any changes to its examination system or internal assessment system, nor has any official notification been issued in this regard. Class 10, 12 board exams: Students can appear twice in a year from 2025-26, says Education Minister

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said Class 10 and 12 students will get an option of appearing for board examinations twice a year from the academic session 2025-26.The minister said the move has been made to reduce academic stress. India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 envisages biannual board exams to provide students with ample opportunities to excel academically. According to the New Curriculum Framework (NCF) announced by the Ministry of Education in August last year, board examinations will be held at least twice a year to ensure students have enough time and opportunity to perform well. They will also get the option to retain the best score. Pradhan asked students present at the function if they were happy with the decision, and told them to keep the best marks obtained after appearing in both the exams. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s vision through the NEP is to keep students stress-free, enrich them with quality education, keep students linked with culture and prepare them for the future. CBSE Class 10 board examination will be conducted from February 15 to March 13, 2024 and Class 12 board examination will be held from February 15 to April 2, 2024.
