The All India Students’ Federation (AISF) activists staged a protest in front of the CBSE regional office in Vijayawada on Tuesday, condemning the alleged irregularities in the digital evaluation of the examination answer scripts. The leaders demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, holding him morally responsible for the controversy. Addressing the gathering, AISF State general secretary Bandela Nasser expressed outrage over the allegations of irregularities in CBSE’s digital evaluation process that surfaced within a month of the question paper leak controversy. Citing examples of students who raised complaints that their answer scripts were not properly re-evaluated, he accused the Central government of playing with the futures of lakhs of students. The Central Board of Secondary (CBSE) issued an alert for Class 12 students, urging them to apply for verification of marks and re-evaluation before 7 June deadline. After the last date, the board will not accept applications. In a post on X, CBSE stated, “Today, 07 June 2026, is the last day to submit applications for Verification of Issues Observed and Re-evaluation of Answers on the post-result services portal for Class XII Examination 2026.” The post added, “Students should complete and submit their applications before this deadline. The portal will remain open until 11:59 PM tonight. Apply before the portal closes.” Students dissatisfied with marks obtained in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination can apply for desired post-result services at https://postresult.cbseit.in/pvr/ till Sunday midnight. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which is under fire for the technical glitches, answer sheet mismatch and allegations of rigged tender over the On-Screen Marking (OSM) for the evaluation of 2026 Class 12 board exam results, has retained Hyderabad-based Coempt Eduteck for scanning answer sheets during the ongoing re-evaluation process. But all data and records related to the OSM system have been moved from Coempt’s servers to CBSE-controlled servers to ensure greater control over security and operations. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee conducted the JEE Advanced examination this year for admission to renowned private and government institutes across the country, including 138 government funded institutes. This includes 23 IITs, IISc Bengaluru, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 56 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). The JoSAA 2026 counseling process is currently underway with qualifying students preparing their preference lists and scouting for top engineering institutions across the country.
