Instagram slapped with cease and desist over its use of ‘PG-13’ teen accounts

Instagram slapped with cease and desist over its use of ‘PG-13’ teen accounts

The Motion Picture Association — the trade group in charge of movie ratings — has asked Meta to stop using its “PG-13” rating when referring to the type of content that teen accounts will see on Instagram. The MPA sent a cease and desist order to Meta on October 28th, saying Meta’s use of the rating is “literally false and highly misleading,” as first reported by The Wall Street Journal. Last month, Meta announced an update to Instagram’s teen accounts that will only allow them to view content “similar to what they’d see in a PG-13 movie.” At the time, the MPA issued a statement that said it was “not contacted by Meta” before its announcement. Now it’s taking things a step further, arguing that Meta’s attempt to restrict content doesn’t follow the MPA’s “curated process” when determining ratings. “The MPA has worked for decades to earn the public’s trust in its rating system,” a copy of the letter seen by The Verge states. “Meta’s claim that its Teen Accounts will be ‘guided by’ or …

Kanye West Accuses Kim Kardashian of Neglecting North During Met Gala 2025 in Cease and Desist Letter: Read More Shocking Claims

Kanye West made shocking allegations against his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, in the cease and desist letter. The rapper alleged that Kardashian exploited their oldest daughter, North, by leaving her alone in the car while attending the 2025 Met Gala.  Ye’s lawyer, Kathy Johnson, sent the reality star’s attorney a cease and desist letter, as reported by TMZ. The document was drafted concerning the “welfare” of the rapper’s minor children: North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West.  In the letter, West accused The Kardashians star of violating his rights and their divorce settlement. He alleged that she brought their oldest daughter to the Met Gala in New York City earlier this week and left her unattended in a vehicle for a major portion of the event.  He also accused his ex-wife of denying him “meaningful access” to his four children. However, according to their current custody settlement, the Skims founder doesn’t have the right to keep the kids away from him.  The former couple split in 2021, ending seven years of marriage. Taylor Swift takes legal action against Kanye West over sexually explicit rant, slaps him with cease and desist: report | Hollywood News

Taylor Swift has reportedly slapped Kanye West with a cease and desist after the Yeezy rapper went on a full-blown, expletive-laced social media rant on April 10, making distasteful remarks about the pop star and her personal life. He also blamed her as one of the reasons behind his career fallout—specifically, his inability to land a Super Bowl halftime performance, among other things. In over 100 tweets on Thursday, the rapper name-dropped several A-listers, including Beyoncé and Madonna, before wiping his posts clean. Fans called the move a low blow. Swifties were clearly enraged and hoped this time she’d fire back with legal action instead of a diss track—and it looks like she took notes. Taylor Swift slaps Kanye West with a cease and desist A source close to Swift told the Daily Mail that “Kanye went too far this time.” The rapper had earlier made graphic online remarks involving the Bad Blood singer and her fellow artists, including Harry Styles and Justin Bieber. “His claims are not just false—they’re defamatory,” the source added. “This …
