Tata Motors is aiming for significant growth in the Indian passenger vehicle market. The carmaker is aiming for a 20% market share in the segment as the Indian passenger vehicle market is poised to see 60 lakh cars being sold across the country by 2030, hinted the company’s Chairman N Chandrasekaran. At the Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) dealer business planning meet 2026, Chandrasekaran also said that the company has already committed significant capital investment of ₹35,000 crore by 2030 and will recalibrate the plan. Tata Motors held 13.48% market share in the Indian passenger vehicle market in FY26, and now the company aims to take it over 20% by 2030.
