Police rescued the boy and are counselling both parents. India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal (PTI) A man had abandoned his 10-year-old son at the India-Bangladesh border after a fight with his wife, West Bengal police said on Wednesday. The incident took place on the Basirhat border in North 24 Parganas district on Tuesday night. IANS quoted police as saying that after being abandoned by his father far away from home, the little boy started crying at night in fear and panic. The locals, hearing the boy’s cries, informed the police which took him to the Basirhat Police Station and contacted his family. The boy is a resident of Kathpol area of Ashoknagar police station in North 24 Parganas district. Police said that the boy’s father, Pintu Ghosh and mother, Madhavi Ghosh, used to often fight over various issues.
