Diljit Dosanjh‘s latest song, Kufar, featuring Manushi Chillar, recently courted controversy over a controversial dance step. The audience objected to a step where Diljit is standing behind a woman who lifts her leg on the line ‘jannat ke darwaaze kudiye’ in the song, with many calling out blatant objectification. As the controversy escalated, both Manushi and Diljit addressed the backlash and distanced themselves from the step. Neither of the artists took the onus of the step, and now Kufar’s choreographers, Shazia Samji and Piyush Bhagat, have reacted to the sequence.
