(PTI File) Canadian High Commissioner Christopher Cooter on Wednesday hailed the new chapter of partnership with India, saying both the countries were heading towards building renewed trust, deepening cooperation in critical areas, and taking concrete steps to enhance shared prosperity. Speaking at an event in New Delhi, he underscored how Canada and India have the tools, resources and the talent to build a partnership that is not only resilient, but transformative. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Prime Minister Modi recently held a meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, building on their earlier engagement at the G7 Summit in Kananaskis. They welcomed the New Roadmap for India-Canada relations launched in October. The Prime Ministers also agreed to launch negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
