Classic Himalayan Drive: ‘It all went like clockwork’ | Sport-others News

After nearly 10 days of travel through scenic terrain, the Classic Himalayan Drive concluded in the capital on Monday. The final day of the event, which was of a non-competitive nature, saw cars – many of them vintage ones – move from Chandigarh to Delhi, where there was a celebratory ceremony to mark the successful completion. The convoy – that included several cars from the UK, France, Kenya and other countries, apart from India — started from Greater Noida on November 2 and also moved through Ramnagar, Rishikesh, Mussoorie, Theog, Shimla and Manali. It went through the Rohtang Pass and the Atal Tunnel, and over the Jalori Pass. “It all went like clockwork. Even though it wasn’t a competitive race, we had a schedule to follow and did that impeccably,” Rajan Syal, one of the architects of the event, told The Indian Express. Problematics | A clockwork montage

With our mobile phones always at hand, we are depending less and less on other timekeeping devices. But those are also the reasons why people who are good at cold calling are so valuable. A successful cold call converts contact information into a lead, meeting, demo, sale, or a new business relationship. It is an incredibly powerful way to drive the growth of a business. These cold calling tips are practical, low-complexity tactics you can use to increase your odds of a positive outcome. That’s it. I’m not even going to try to convey the art of cold calling here, or somehow pass on the personality traits you must have in order to survive — you’ll figure it out, or you will find another role that comes more naturally than cold outreach. 1. Treat the gatekeeper as a stakeholder It takes some finesse to convince the person who answers the phone to forward your message up the ladder. Respecting these “gatekeepers” is a much better strategy than trying …

To evoke the links between cinema and music, a talk was organised around the theme of the Beatles versus the Rolling Stones, and the bands’ love of cinema, which led them to work with Jean-Luc Godard and Martin Scorsese, among others. The guest of honour, Malcolm McDowell, who is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the release of ‘A Clockwork Orange’, spoke about how Mick Jagger wanted to star in the film, and the time when Paul McCartney almost composed the score to another one of McDowell’s films, ‘The Raging Moon’, added Variety. Following the conclusion of the official part of the evening, which included speeches by the president of Italy’s National Museum of Cinema, Enzo Ghigo, …
