The MSP for fair average quality of milling copra has been fixed at Rs 12,027 per quintal and for ball copra at Rs 12,500 per quintal. (File) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday approved the minimum support price (MSP) for copra for the 2026 season. The MSP for fair average quality of milling copra has been fixed at Rs 12,027 per quintal and for ball copra at Rs 12,500 per quintal for the 2026 season. According to an official statement, the MSP for the 2026 season is an increase of Rs 445 per quintal for milling copra and Rs 400 per quintal for ball copra over the previous season. Pawan Kalyan will inspect the coconut orchards that are dying along the stretch of Sankaragupatam drain in Razole assembly constituency in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district on November 26. Thousands of coconut trees have died, while the trees that are surviving have stunted growth across the 12 villages along the Sankarguptam. The damage is attributed to high salinity levels in the water of the drain.  Razole MLA Deva Prasada Rao said that Mr. Pawan Kalyan will tour all the affected villages before interacting with nearly 200 coconut farmers to understand the environmental challenges on November 26.
