Will coin flip favour Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians or Riyan Parag’s Rajasthan Royals?

RR vs MI, IPL 2026 Toss: Rajasthan Royals will lock horn with Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2026 Match No 13 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday. RR remain unbeaten in the tournament so far, winning their first two games. Mumbai, on the other hand, broke a jinx by winning their first league game since 2012, but then fumbled in the second game against Delhi Capitals in the afternoon match. RR had a terrible toss record at home last season, winning the coin flip only twice in seven games. In those two matches where they won the toss at home, they won once and lost once as well. After losing the toss at home a combined five times in Guwahati and Jaipur, the side could only win one game while losing the other four. The franchise won a total of four games in IPL 2025 and finished ninth with just 8 points. Tosses won at home: 2/7 Matches Won after Toss win at home: 1/2;  Batting 1st: Nil; Batting 2nd: …

Before Sachin, there was Anil Gurav. The coin was placed on his stumps first

Before Sachin, there was Anil Gurav. The coin was placed on his stumps first

Anil Gurav died on March 31 2026, aged 61. The man who was once called the Viv Richards of Mumbai, who lent Sachin Tendulkar the bat with which he scored his first competitive century, who was picked up by police looking for his gangster brother and beaten until he couldn’t stand — until his death he lived in the same 200-square-foot room in Nalasopara where this piece found him. The following piece was first published in The Indian Express on November 17, 2013.  Far, far away from Wankhede Stadium and even further away from the man who is the cynosure of it, in a 200-sq ft cramped dwelling with paint peeling off the walls, lurks another Sachin story. On most days, at most hours, on a bare rickety bed here, in Mumbai’s Nalasopara, you can find Anil Gurav. The smell of cheap alcohol rests around him, as do years of pain in his wild, staring, glazed eyes. It’s his memory that remains the sharpest, particularly so these days. And as the Tendulkar story draws to …

Daisy Shah says Palash Muchhal was afraid to contact her after wedding fiasco; refuses to judge him: ‘There are two sides to a coin’ | Bollywood News

3 min readChennaiUpdated: Mar 18, 2026 09:58 PM IST After composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal and cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s wedding was called off, the filmmaker announced his new directorial venture starring Shreyas Talpade and Daisy Shah in the lead roles. In a recent interaction, Daisy shared how Palash hesitated to contact her directly for the project after the controversy. Speaking to Miss Malini, she said, “I got 2–3 calls from random people saying that there is a film that Palash is making, and he wants me to be a part of the film. I was like Palash knows me personally because I am really good friends with Palash’s sister Palak, so I was thinking if Palash wants to speak to me, he will contact me directly, or he would message me through Palak so why am I getting a message from a random person whom I don’t know.” She added, “So, I happened to drop a message to Palash, asking about the same, and he said, ‘yeah ma’am this is true, but because of the …

Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Kabir Singh are ‘two sides of the same coin’, says director: ‘Itna pyaar to kare koi’ | Bollywood News

3 min readMumbaiMar 3, 2026 10:19 AM IST Sooraj Barjatya is credited with discovering the ‘Prem’ within Salman Khan at the very beginning of the superstar’s career through blockbuster films like Maine Pyaar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. However, over time, as the depiction of masculinity on screen has changed, so too have the kinds of male protagonists dominating popular imagination. Today, in the age of the alpha male, characters like Kabir Singh or Rannvijay from Animal capture audiences’ attention in ways that are drastically different from the rather gentle, romantic softness of Barjatya’s films. Yet, Barjatya believes that, to him, whether it is his incarnation of Prem or these ‘toxic male characters,’ they are two sides of the same coin. “They are representations of the same men,” he said in a chat with Hindustan Times. Explaining further, he added, “Itna pyaar to kare koi (Someone must love this passionately). If you look at it, whether it is Kabir Singh, Animal, Prem, or the protagonist from Sangamarmar (his next web series), but itna pyaar …

Kabir Singh, Animal and Prem are ‘sides of the same coin’, feels Sooraj Barjatya: ‘Koi itna pyaar to kare’ | Interview

It is the era of alpha males on screen, many Indian film viewers have noted. What began with Kabir Singh has only been emboldened of late by hypermasculine, aggressive men, even in love stories. This has led many with rose-tinted glasses to hark back to a time when romantic leads in Hindi films were sensitive, and the protagonists of Sooraj Barjatya films – from Vivaah to Hum Aapke Hain Koun – are among those cited as examples of ‘ideal’ men. But the filmmaker himself feels that his Prem (the name he used for all his protagonists) is not much different from Kabir Singh. Ranbir Kapoor in Animal, Salman Khan in Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and Shahid Kapoor in Kabir Singh depicted various shades of love. Sooraj Barjatya on gentle romantic leads Barjatya recently saw the release of his new show, Sangamarmar, on JioHotstar. The romantic drama stars Sourabh Raaj Jain and Sheen Savita Das as a couple whose love grows over 25 years despite them not being married. Ahead of the release of the show, …

The hottest trend in speedrunning is flipping a coin

The hottest trend in speedrunning is flipping a coin

Unfair Flips is a game about flipping a coin. And despite being designed around random chance, it has a vibrant speedrunning community, racing to see who can get to 10 heads the fastest. That’s the only goal. You earn money with each heads and can spend that on four things: a more valuable coin, a combo multiplier for heads streaks, a faster flip time, and an increased heads chance, which starts at 20 percent and maxes out at 60 percent. When you get lucky enough, you flip 10 heads. Until then, the only thing you can do is keep flipping the coin. The current world record took 96 flips and two minutes and 52 seconds by a speedrunner who goes by ravspect. It was, he says, “nearly complete luck.” But only nearly. The perfect run would essentially be entirely good fortune — it is hypothetically possible for someone to load the game and flip 10 heads in a row instantly, ending it in about 20 seconds. The odds of this are a hair under one …

How I shorted $TRUMP coin (and got to have dinner with the President)

How I shorted $TRUMP coin (and got to have dinner with the President)

Last month, Donald Trump pushed the boundaries of government and financial ethics by announcing a contest: whoever bought and held the highest amount of the $TRUMP meme coin for an entire month would win an invite to a private dinner with the President. That dinner took place on Thursday at the Trump National Golf Course in Virginia, with attendees reportedly dropping nearly $394 million on $TRUMP in order to win the privilege. According to an analysis by The Guardian of the winners’ wallets, over half of them lost money participating in this contest. But that’s only if you’re analyzing the wallets visible on the contest site’s leaderboard. The real money was being made elsewhere. “Bet you 10 percent of dinner participants are doing this” I interviewed an enthusiastic crypto trader who figured out how to win the contest without losing any money: buy enough $TRUMP to get onto the leaderboard — and then in a separate wallet on a separate exchange, buy $TRUMP perpetual futures that would be profitable if (or as he saw it, …
