Prominent businessman Boby Chemmanur was arrested on Wednesday by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the sexual harassment case filed by Malayalam actor Honey Rose, police said in Kochi. He was taken into custody from Wayanad on Wednesday morning and brought to Kochi in a police jeep on Wednesday evening. (Also Read: Ajith Kumar crashes race car into barrier ahead of 24H Dubai 2025. Businessman arrested in Wayanad Visuals aired by news channels showed a police team blocking the businessman’s car and taking him into custody at a tea estate in Wayanad. Later, he was taken to a police camp in Puthurvayal before being transported to Kochi. The journey to Kochi, from the hill district in north Kerala, took around seven hours. The arrest of Chemmanur, who was brought to the Central Police Station, was recorded at around 7.30 pm on Wednesday, police said. Amazon recently unveiled its latest lineup of Kindle e-readers, including the company’s very first coloured Kindle — Colorsoft. The launch of its most ambitious product, however, hasn’t gone as expected. Some of the first batch of buyers have started to notice a yellow bar at the bottom of the e-book reader that covers almost five to ten per cent of the screen. Amazon acknowledged the problem and spokesperson Jill Tornifoglio issued the following statement to The Verge: “We’re aware of a small number of reports from customers who see a yellow band along the bottom of the display. We take the quality of our products seriously and are looking into it. (Representative Images: Getty Images) The state health minister said, “Rhodamine-B, Tartrazine and other such chemicals are being used for preparing such food items and it is unsafe” The Karnataka Health Department on Monday banned the sale of coloured Gobi Manchurian and Cotton Candy in the state, saying that the use of artificial colouring agents, such as Rhodamine-B, are harmful to health. At a press conference, state Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao addressed the rising concerns over the presence of harmful chemicals in various food items and pressed on the importance of consuming food which is safe for health. Gundurao pointed out the risks posed by unsafe food practices. He cited the findings of a recent investigation conducted by health department officials on Cotton Candy and Gobi Manchurian. The officials collected nearly 171 samples of these food items from various eateries, he said. The findings revealed that around 107 unsafe artificial colours were found in these dishes. …
