Andhra Pradesh: PM Modi releases commemorative coin to honour Sathya Sai Baba

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday released a commemorative Rs 100 coin and a set of stamps honouring the life, teachings and legacy of late spiritual leader Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Prime Minister Modi participated in the birth centenary celebrations of Sai Baba here in the Sri Sathyasai district. As part of the celebrations, the Prime Minister further paid his respects and his obeisance to Sai Baba at his Mahasamadhi in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. (Image: ANI) To mark 25 years of the formation of Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development projects worth over Rs 8,140 crore. These include the inauguration of projects worth over Rs 930 crore and the laying of foundation stones for projects worth over Rs 7,210 crore. These projects cater to several key sectors, including drinking water, irrigation, technical education, energy, urban development, sports, and skill development. Moreover, the Prime Minister also released a support amount of Rs 62 crore to more than 28,000 farmers directly into their bank accounts under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana. President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday released a commemorative coin and postage stamp on the occasion of 75 years of the Constitution of India at Samvidhan Sadan. The commemorative coin and stamp were dedicated to the 75th anniversary of adoption of Constitution of India. President also released the first Sanskrit copy of Samvidhan. During the occasion, President Murmu also released book titled “Making of the Constitution of India: A Glimpse” and “Making of the Constitution of India & its Glorious Journey”. A Ratan Tata memorial event organised by the Trivandrum Management Association (TMA) in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. The Trivandrum Management Association (TMA), a confederation of management professionals, held a commemorative event here on Monday in honour of Ratan Tata. The event had speakers who had the privilege of working with Ratan Tata recalling their association with the industry captain. K.M. Chandrasekhar, former Cabinet Secretary and former board member of Tata Companies, said that compared to other corporate entities, Tata’s systems had integrity, great ethics and accountability that had genuine care and concern for all stakeholders. This, he said, was a defining characteristic of Ratan Tata’s leadership. Former MLA K.S. Sabarinathan, spoke about Ratan Tata‘s focus on health care and nutrition. India Post, the postal department of India, on Thursday announced a commemorative postal stamp in honour of All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Kalyan Chaubey. The Rs 5 stamp features the image of Chaubey and the iconic Red Fort. Elated with the honour, Chaubey said, “I’m truly humbled with the gesture shown by the Indian post department.” “This honour strengthens my belief in the work we have done in developing Indian football, and will further encourage me to keep working for the betterment of the sports in the country,” he added. Before becoming the AIFF president, Chaubey plied his trade for several Indian clubs, including Mohun Bagan, Salgaocar and Mahindra United. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday released commemorative postage stamps on the Ram Temple of Ayodhya and a book of stamps dedicated to Lord Ram issued by countries across the world. Components of the design of the stamps include the Ram Temple, choupai (the verse) `Mangal Bhavan Amangal Hari`, the sun, the Saryu River and sculptures in and around the temple.  The six commemorative stamps released today include those of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Jatayu, Kevatraj and Ma Shabri- each key figures and symbols associated with Lord Ram`s narrative.
