Danni Wyatt and Ellyse Perry who forged a partnership after the dismissal of Smriti Mandhana, smashed fifties during the WPL 2025 clash between RCB Women and UP Warriorz Women. Batting first RCB captain Smriti Mandhana was dismissed for six runs by Deepti Sharma, Danni Wyatt and Perry joined hands to score 94 94-run partnership for the second wicket. Danni scored fifty off 36 deliveries which included four fours and two sixes while Ellyse brought up on 36 deliveries which included five fours and 1 six. The RCB openers Smriti Mandhana and Danni Wyatt-Hodge put up a solid start during the WPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals at Vadodara. During a 142 chase, Mandhana and Danielle Wyatt-Hodge troubled the DC bowlers to score 57 runs in the powerplay.  Mandhana scored 32 runs while Danielle scored 22 runs in the power play laying a solid platform in the match. Earlier, RCB bowlers, led by Renuka Singh and Georgia Wareham put up an excellent performance to bowl out Delhi for 141 runs in 19.3 runs. The explosive opener, who is also a brilliant fielder, is on brink of 3000 T20I runs (2979) and has a healthy career strike rate of 127.85, going even higher in recent years. Image Source : GETTY Danni Wyatt-Hodge is set to reunite with her Southern Brave opening partner Smriti Mandhana at RCB The defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have landed the in-form and experienced England opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge in the pre-season trading window ahead of the 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Wyatt-Hodge is set to reunite with her Southern Brave opening partner Smriti Mandhana at RCB after being traded on all-cash deal from the UP Warriorz (UPW). “Originally acquired by UPW in the auction for INR 30 lakhs, Wyatt will move to RCB at her existing fee,” a WPL statement said.  “Danielle is a game-changer and a phenomenal athlete. Her skills and competitive spirit align perfectly with our team’s vision. We are excited to welcome her to the RCB and look forward to the energy she will bring to the squad,” skipper Smriti Mandhana said in an RCB statement on Wyatt-Hodge’s signing.
