Producer Asit Kumar Modi recently opened up about how he felt when actors exited his show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC). In an interview wth SCREEN, he admitted that it hurts every time an artiste leaves, but stressed that audiences should respect an actor’s decision to step away. Modi also addressed the recent challenges faced by former Sodhi, Gurucharan Singh. Talking about actors leaving the show, Asit shared that he does miss former TMKOC cast members. The producer said, “We all started together, and when you work with someone for so long and they leave, it hurts. The former Haathi Bhai (Kavi Kumar Azad) fell ill and passed away. I also fondly remember Ghanshyam Naik (Nattu Kaka). Had he been around still, things would have been fun. Some people just left the show like that. After COVID, they didn’t want to do the show.
