Lisa Kudrow Slams Use Of De-Aging And ‘Endorsement For AI’ In Filmmaking; Shares Her Take On Tom Hank’s Film Here

Lisa Kudrow Slams Use Of De-Aging And ‘Endorsement For AI’ In Filmmaking; Shares Her Take On Tom Hank’s Film Here

Lisa Kudrow is firmly against the use of Artificial Intelligence in filmmaking! Robert Zemeckis’s latest decade-spanning film, Here, which reunited him with his Forrest Gump stars Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, used AI to portray the younger versions of the actors. During the Friends actress’s recent appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, she took issue with the film’s endorsement of AI.  “They shot it, and they could actually shoot the scene and then look at the playback of them as younger, and it’s ready for them to see,” she said, explaining the gist of the film. “All I got from that was, this is an endorsement for AI,” Kudrow added.  She clarified that she wasn’t criticizing AI for “ruining” the film but more out of her concern for the future actors who’ll be left to do “licensing and recycling.” She also emphasized that the continued use of technology in filmmaking can possibly kill the scope of humans. “Set that completely aside, what work will there be for human beings? Then what?” she added.  “There’ll be …

‘Good To Look Young Again’: Tom Hanks On Digitally De-Aging Himself For His New Movie Here- DEETS

Tom Hanks is all for looking younger on screen, but the process of digital de-aging is “kooky” to him. At the premiere of AFI Fest in Los Angeles on Friday, October 25, Hanks, who used digital retouching for his upcoming film Here, chatted with PEOPLE on the red carpet and shared his thoughts on the matter. “It’s good to look young again,” he said, before adding, “It’s not great to be young again.” The two-time Oscar winner reunites with Forrest Gump director Robert Zemeckis and co-star Robin Wright in the upcoming film Here. Hanks and Wright play Richard and Margaret Young through various ages as the story chronicles their home life. “It was kooky. That was the gimmicky kind of aspect of it,” Hanks confessed.  Makeup can cover up to a certain extent, but “this other super-fast-filter computer” made it an instant process. They didn’t have to wait for post-production to see themselves look young on screen. It was a fun part of the filmmaking process, but the part that was most challenging—both physically and …

Movie Review: An unmoving camera and de-aging technology make ‘Here’ with Tom Hanks painful to watch | Hollywood

Movie Review: An unmoving camera and de-aging technology make ‘Here’ with Tom Hanks painful to watch | Hollywood

Robert Zemeckis’ latest movie is insanely ambitious, starting with the dinosaurs and ending in present day with the Roomba. But it’s fixed on just one spot. Movie Review: An unmoving camera and de-aging technology make ‘Here’ with Tom Hanks painful to watch “Here” reunites Zemeckis, screenwriter Eric Roth and actors Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, who collaborated on “Forrest Gump.” This time, they’re not telling the larger-than-life story of a man moving through time — they’re telling the centuries-old story of a living room and all the different people who lived there. In this living room, we see a wedding, a death, a birth, a marriage tested, a funeral, lots of vacuuming, many birthdays, Christmases and Thanksgivings, some sex, adults getting drunk and Jazzercise. Zemeckis puts the camera at a fixed angle for the movie’s entire 105-minute duration without moving. It’s not so strange after a while — so bursting with life is each shot and vignette — but there’s a gnawing feeling that we’re in some sort of film experiment, like testing an audience …

Trolled For De-aging Mess, Post-Animal Side Effects, Here’s Who’s Winning The Social Media Battle!

Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT VS Yash’s Toxic Poster-War: Trolled For De-aging Mess, Post-Animal Side Effects, Here’s Who’s Winning… ( Photo Credit – Instagram; IMDb ) Recently, two of the biggest stars from down South released the first look poster of their films. Tollywood’s Thalapathy Vijay and Sandalwood’s Rocking Star Yash gifted their die-hard fans the posters of GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) & Toxic. Though both films are polar opposites to each other, but let’s take a look at which one has been appreciated more on social media. Directed by national award-winning director Geethu Mohandas, Yash’s Toxic has been promoted as an action-oriented thriller based on drug mafia operations in Goa. The tagline ‘fairy tale for grownups,’ added by makers, gives away that the high-octane actions are non-negotiable in what appears to be yet another mass-oriented film for the Kannada star after the historic success of ‘KGF’ and ‘KGF 2’. On the other hand, Thalapathy Vijay’s GOAT looks like a different beast altogether. We recently reported how the leaked plot details (not confirmed) could entirely make …
