Delhi Police file FIRs over alleged violence, stone-pelting during CJP protest
Delhi Police have registered multiple FIRs against unidentified persons in connection with alleged vandalism, stone-pelting and violence during a protest organised by the CJP in the Connaught Place and Parliament Street areas, police sources said on Tuesday. The cases have been registered at the Parliament Street and Connaught Place police stations under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The FIRs relate to allegations of rioting, vandalism, damage to public property, obstruction of public servants from performing their duties, and the alleged snatching of police protective gear, including jackets and helmets, during the protest near Jantar Mantar.
