Delhi MCD By Election Results 2025 Live Updates: The counting of votes for the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) by-elections is underway across 12 wards. Early trends show the BJP leading in six wards, including Shalimar Bagh, Dwarka, Greater Kailash, Mundka, Vinod Nagar, Ashok Vihar, and Dichaon Kalan. These results are being closely watched as a litmus test for Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, whose “Viksit Delhi” agenda faces its first major electoral challenge since the Assembly polls earlier this year. Vote counting will commence at 8am across 19 counting stations spanning 11 districts. Shahdara, Central Delhi, East, South, and Southwest districts will each have one counting center, while North, West, Northeast, and Southeast districts will have two each. The New Delhi and Northwest districts will have three counting stations apiece. Exit polls have largely favored the BJP over AAP, which has been in power since 2015. The Election Commission reported a voter turnout of 60.54% on Wednesday. On the eve of the results, political tensions flared outside AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s residence as a team from the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) arrived, seeking evidence for his allegations that the BJP …
