DHL restarts deliveries of international packages worth more than $800

DHL Express is resuming shipments of packages valued over $800 that are bound for consumers in the US, Reuters reports. The international shipping company had suspended the shipments last week due to “a surge in formal customs clearances” amidst the Trump administration’s sweeping tariffs on international goods. Effective today, business-to-consumer shipments valued between $800 and $2,500 have resumed and are back to the standard “informal” entry process for clearance, according to DHL. The company says business-to-business shipments and packages valued under $800 were not affected by the pause. DHL warns that some consumer packages may still experience transit delays to the US. DHL says normal operations are back after “constructive dialogue” with the US government, which “demonstrated a strong willingness to understand” the company’s challenges and agreed to “act quickly” in the interest of US consumers. DHL halts international deliveries to US consumers worth over 0

DHL halts international deliveries to US consumers worth over $800

Effective April 5, 2025, all shipments to the U.S. with a declared customs value over USD 800 require formal entry processing – down from the previous USD 2,500 threshold due to new U.S. Customs regulations. This change has caused a surge in formal customs clearances, which we are handling around the clock. While we are working diligently to scale up and manage this increase, shipments over USD 800—regardless of origin—may experience multi-day delays. To manage this, starting Monday, April 21, 2025, and until further notice, we will temporarily suspend B2C shipments to private individuals in the U.S. where the declared value exceeds USD 800. Amid Donald Trump’s order over birthright citizenship in US, doctors highlight risks of preterm deliveries: ‘If a C-section is done to deliver the baby then…’ | Health News

As reports indicate that some Indian couples in the US are opting for preterm delivery of their babies ahead of the February 20 ‘deadline’ to secure birthright citizenship, Vasupradha, a 32-year-old data engineer, has chosen not to interfere with her pregnancy. A federal judge in Seattle has, meanwhile, blocked US President Donald Trump’s executive order in this regard, terming it “unconstitutional”. Speaking to indianexpress.com, Arizona-based Vasupradha, whose second child is due to be born on February 21, says, “Our first child has US citizenship. We don’t know whether our second-born will get it but we would like to wait it out because more than citizenship, what matters is the health of my baby as well as mine. I would not like to take any artificial route.” Vasupradha and her husband Venkat have declared that they are in “no rush” to meet the touted deadline. Health experts also recommend against opting for preterm deliveries which are fraught with risks. Preterm births in the seventh, eighth, or ninth months pose significant risks for both mothers and babies. Dr …

Sanjay Manjrekar Baffled By Virat Kohli’s Constant Dismissals On Outside Off Stump Deliveries

Sanjay Manjrekar Baffled By Virat Kohli’s Constant Dismissals On Outside Off Stump Deliveries

File photo of Virat Kohli.© AFP Cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar feels it’s high time for India stalwart Virat Kohli to get some runs and overcome his “weakness” of edging it away on outside off stump deliveries. Australian pacers have exploited Virat by tempting him to drive the outside off-stump delivery throughout the four Tests of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Despite all his batting technique prowess, Virat’s six dismissals in the series have followed the same pattern, going after the outside off-stump deliveries. Apart from his century in Perth, Virat’s struggle to maintain his discipline has been the root cause behind his bleak outings with the bat. “It’s time that he not only got runs but got out in a different fashion to show that he’s overcome that problem. I’ve never seen somebody with the kind of performance and impact that Virat Kohli had on Test cricket have this kind of weakness,” Manjrekar said on ESPNcricinfo. “I don’t think any other top-class batter has had this. There may have been a patch where somebody has …

Thirteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been in the spotlight during India’s ongoing Under-19 Asia Cup campaign in the United Arab Emirates. Despite a lowly start with the bat at the top of the order, Suryavanshi finally come to the fore as he cracked an unbeaten 76 against UAE in India’s final group-stage game in Sharjah on Wednesday. Chasing a 138-run target, Suryavanshi had no jitters as he clobbered his first delivery for a slog-swept six over mid-wicket in the second over off UAE spinner Aliasgar. The sturdy left-hander was in a mood to attack from the onset and he made it clear by smoking two more sixes – over long-on and mid-wicket – against left-arm spinner Aayan Khan. The Bihar batter walloped Aliasgar once again with a sharp swipe across the line, sending the ball over the mid-wicket fence for his fourth maximum in 10 deliveries. 1️⃣3️⃣-year old on a rampage 😎 Vaibhav Suryavanshi is setting the field on 🔥 at Sharjah in #UAEvIND 💪 Cheer for #TeamIndia in the #ACCMensU19AsiaCup, LIVE NOW on #SonyLIV 📲 …

‘Cummins is tactically good, setting good fields; Bumrah has many more wicket-taking deliveries and can just come and knock your stumps’ – Shaun Tait | Cricket News

When India and Australia line up for the first Test at Perth on November 22, it will be a feast for fast-bowling connoisseurs as Jasprit Bumrah and Pat Cummins weave some pacy magic. Former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait in an interaction with The Indian Express raves about their skill-set and offers his views on which of the two is more difficult to face for batsmen while elucidating what makes them different. Differently lethal. Excerpts: Where do you put Jasprit Bumrah and Pat Cummins among the list of great fast bowlers of all time? Shaun Tait: Pat Cummins has got to be arguably the best cricketer in the world, even with a bat. If you talk about his captaincy as well, he’s a very successful captain of Australia. He’s the number one bowler and he can make runs as well. So from a leadership point of view, he’s maybe the most valuable cricketer on the earth. You look at someone like a Ben Stokes, all-rounder captain, same sort of thing. So it’s a really good …

Cybertruck owners say deliveries halted over bad accelerator pedal

Over the last few days, Tesla has delayed some Cybertruck deliveries. The company hasn’t specified why or even publicly commented on the delays, but commenters in the Cybertruck Owners Club forum have reported receiving texts or calls telling them their deliveries were being rescheduled. One user said they’d been told by their dealer that the truck was recalled over its accelerator pedal. Another claimed Tesla sent them a text saying it’s not scheduling deliveries at the moment for the same reason. Several others reported receiving texts about issues with “the preparation of your vehicle.” An Elon Musk fan account called @WholeMarsBlog posted on X that deliveries have been halted for seven days, but that hasn’t been confirmed, and Tesla did not respond to The Verge’s email. (The company disbanded its PR department years ago and doesn’t typically respond to reporter questions.) The issue itself may be that the accelerator pedal is prone to getting stuck. A Cybertruck owner posted a video to TikTok showing how their accelerator pedal cover got stuck and “held the accelerator …
