Bindyarani Devi wins women’s 58kg bronze
India’s Bindyarani Devi clinched the women’s 58kg weightlifting bronze medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games at the SEC Armadillo on Monday. Bindyarani lifted a total of 199kg to finish third on the podium behind Nigeria’s Rafiatu Folashade Lawal (229kg) and Canada’s Ann Sophie Taschereau (215kg). The Indian lifted a best of 87kg in snatch and 112kg in clean and jerk to win what is her second consecutive Commonwealth Games medal.
