Former Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar has been admitted to the Cardiology Department of All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AAIMS), Delhi, on Monday. According to sources, the former Vice President is in stable condition. Further details are awaited. The 74-year-old developed health complications on January 10 and was subsequently taken to AIIMS, where doctors admitted him for further examination, news agency PTI reported. Sharing the health update, officials said Dhankhar had “two bouts of unconsciousness” on Saturday when he went to the washroom. He was subsequently advised medical evaluation. “Today, he had gone to AIIMS for a checkup when the doctors insisted that he should get admitted for tests,” an official said, reported PTI. Former Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar, who quit in July, is yet to be provided with an official residence, people close to him said on Tuesday. Dhankar, while quitting from the post of Vice President and Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, cited health reasons. Jagdeep Dhankar submitted his resignation soon after the proceedings of day 1 of the Monsoon Session of Parliament ended in 2025.  Weeks later, in September, he vacated the Vice President`s Enclave, the official residence of the vice president, and moved to a private farmhouse in south Delhi`s Chhatarpur area, reported PTI.  The farmhouse in the Gadaipur area of Chhatarpur belongs to INLD leader Abhay Chautala.
