As part of the national event for disbursing benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), the Ministry of Labour and Employment organised a special programme on Saturday at Indian Bank Management Academy for Growth and Excellence (IMAGE) at MRC Nagar, Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT) and six other venues in Chennai. According to a press release, at IMAGE, a total of 750 participants including 450 beneficiaries, 122 employers and industry association representatives participated. K. Niraimathi, Joint Director, Directorate of Safety and Health and Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Labour Commissioner from the State government participated Srinu Dara, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Government of India; Renu Ramachandran, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner and other officials of the Chennai South Regional Office of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) also participated. A total of 60 employment letters were distributed. At CICT, Bhuvaneshwari, Registrar, CICT; and Sasikumar, Joint Director, Industrial Safety and Health participated as the Chief guests. ₹110 crore disbursed to 1.64 lakh farmers in Annamayya district

The ‘Annadatha Sukhibhava-PM Kisan’ programme was launched at Rayachoti in Annamayya district on Saturday, with ₹110.77 crore credited to the accounts of 1.64 lakh farmers in the district as the first instalment for 2026-27. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the PM Kisan assistance virtually, while Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu released the State component under Annadatha Sukhibhava. Minister for Transport, Sports and Youth Services, Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, attended the district-level event. Addressing the farmers, the Minister said that the coalition government was implementing welfare measures for farmers and reducing cultivation costs through subsidies on urea, drip irrigation and other inputs. “About 34,000 farmers in Rayachoti constituency received nearly ₹18 crore in the latest instalment,” he said. Collector Nishant Kumar, who also attended the event, cautioned that rainfall would remain below normal this season and urged farmers to conserve water, reduce borewell-based paddy cultivation and adopt micro-irrigation and horticulture crops. Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the government has distributed more than ₹65,887 crore under the NTR Bharosa pension programme since July 2024, and nearly ₹32,000 crore is being spent annually on pensions alone. In June, ₹2,729 crore has been allocated for the disbursement of pensions to 62.34 lakh beneficiaries. Addressing a gathering of beneficiaries of the social welfare pensions during the 21st Pedala Sevalo programme at Chamavaram village in the Tuni constituency of Kakinada district on Monday, Mr. Naidu said that June would always remain a historic month in Andhra Pradesh’s political journey as it marked the people’s mandate against destructive governance and the formation of the coalition government. Haryana chief minister Nayab Saini on Tuesday disbursed ₹1,431 crore to 56.34 lakh beneficiaries under 18 public welfare schemes. He said that from February 2026 onwards, ₹1,100 will be credited directly to beneficiaries’ savings accounts each month, while ₹1,000 will be placed in a government-operated fixed deposit account. (HT Photo for representation) Addressing a press conference, the CM said the disbursement included the fourth installment of the “Lado Lakshmi Yojana”, social security pensions, cooking gas subsidies under the “Har Ghar–Har Grihini Yojana”, and incentives for milk producers. The CM said that under the “Lado Lakshmi Yojana”, an amount of ₹193 crore was transferred directly into the bank accounts of about 9.22 lakh women beneficiaries. So far ₹634 crore have been distributed in four installments. The scheme provides monthly financial assistance of ₹2,100 to eligible women aged 23 years and above from families with an annual income of less than ₹1 lakh, with expanded eligibility for certain categories of families earning up to ₹1.80 lakh annually. As the land acquisition process for the expansion of Kangra airport in Himachal Pradesh is underway, ₹936 crore has been disbursed till January 12, officials aware of the matter said. The proposed expansion is expected to displace hundreds of families. According to estimates, at least 1,500 households across 14 villages would be affected. The state government is in the process of expanding the airport and is acquiring around 150 hectares of land for the project. The total cost of land acquisition has been pegged at approximately ₹3,500 crore. The proposed expansion is expected to displace hundreds of families. ₹1,157.62 crore disbursed under Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Mandya district

A total of ₹1,157.62 crore has been disbursed under the Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Mandya district from January 2024 to January 2025, benefiting 4,48,769 eligible women. District Guarantee Scheme Implementation Authority chairman Chikkalingaiah shared this update while presiding over a review meeting held at the zilla panchayat in Mandya on Friday. He said steps have been taken to disburse pending amounts for February and March through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). So far, 99.61% of the eligible women in the district have received benefits under the scheme. Data has confirmed that 1,374 beneficiaries are not income tax or GST payers, and this information has been officially submitted. Under the Anna Bhagya scheme, 4,47,166 beneficiaries have received the benefit. In December 2024 alone, ₹23.35 crore was released. Since the scheme’s inception, a total of ₹402.06 crore has been credited to beneficiaries’ accounts, he said. Rythu Bandhu for Yasangi disbursed to 92.68% farmers

Telangana government has completed disbursement and direct benefit transfer of Rythu Bandhu funds of ₹5,000 per acre for the 2023-24 Rabi or Yasangi season to 92.68% of farmers, by crediting ₹5,575 crore to the land-holding farmers’ bank accounts as on March 28. According to a statement issued by the Agriculture department on Friday, the investment support has reached 64,75,320 farmers with land-holding up to 5 acres. The disbursement was done as per the land details recorded by the previous government. The benefit has been disbursed for 1,11,49,534 acres so far, including 22,24,870 farmers with land-holding up to one acre, 17,72,675 farmers with an extent up to two acres, 11,30,788 farmers with an extent up to three acres, 6,54,419 farmers with an extent up to four acres and 4,92,568 farmers with extent up to five acres. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had made it clear that the Government was not willing to extend the benefit to people who own real estate ventures or hillocks that were registered as patta land.
