: The Builders Association of India (BAI), Vizag Steel City Centre, distributed buttermilk to those visiting the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) in the city, for the fifth consecutive week. The initiative was carried out at the PGRS counters at the District Collectorate, GVMC, and Police Commissionerate under the chairmanship of BAI Vizag Steel City Centre Chairman, P. A. Raju. Amid the prevailing summer heat, the service initiative provided relief to nearly 3,500 citizens, the BAI Vizag Steel City Centre said in a press release on Monday. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday performed Kanya Pujan in Pitampura and distributed bicycles to around 1,000 girl students from nine schools.  She reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that every girl in the national capital can complete her education without any barriers, reported ANI.  Speaking to the media, Delhi CM said, “Every daughter in Delhi can complete her education without any hindrance, complete her schooling, graduate, and become what she wants to be. The government will work to remove all obstacles in her way. Many daughters often face difficulties travelling from school to home and back. Through this Vidyavahini initiative, I will provide bicycles to every girl in the ninth grade so that she can travel to and from school throughout her ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth years. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with his ministerial colleagues, Bhatti Vikramarka, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, G. Vivek and Ponguleti, handed over accident insurance cheques of ₹1 crore each to the families of Electricity department employees who lost their lives while discharging their official duties. The cheques were presented to the family members of Orsu Suresh and Mukhtar Beg, who died in the line of duty while working in the power department. The Chief Minister lauded Deputy CM and Power Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for coming forward to support the bereaved families and ensuring enhanced financial security measures for power sector workers. Highlighting the government’s welfare initiatives, he said that, as per the findings of the CPEC survey, all identified eligible families would be covered under a ₹5 lakh insurance scheme. About 2,500 students successfully completed two projects and received their certificates from Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement About 2,500 students of 10 government and aided schools in north Chennai successfully completed two projects on energy management at schools and homes, and designing and building a functional foldable house model, as part of the north Chennai Project-based Learning Programme. The students received their completion certificates from School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi on Wednesday. For the first project, the students used data analysis to map energy consumption at schools and homes and drew up a practicable plan to reduce waste using real applications of Data Science and AI. For the second project, the students used physics and engineering concepts to build working physical prototypes of a foldable house that are rapidly deployable to suit low-income and disaster-prone communities. Throughout the project cycle, the students were mentored by experts from IIT Madras, Illinois Institute of Technology, KREA University, and industry professionals.
