India added two more assured medals at the ITTF-ATTU Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships in Bangkok on Friday, with Syndrela Das and Divyanshi Bhowmick reaching the U-19 girls’ doubles final and Syndrela advancing to the singles semifinals. The Indian pair produced a spirited comeback to defeat China’s Yao Ruixuan and Jiang Yiyi 7-11, 11-7, 7-11, 11-8, 11-6 in the doubles semifinals. After twice trailing by a game, Syndrela and Divyanshi held their nerve in the decider to book a place in the title clash against Japan’s Aoba Takahashi and Misuzu Takeya. WTT Feeder Cappadocia: Syndrela-Divyanshi crowned champions

India’s Syndrela Das and Divyanshi Bhowmick combined to win the 2026 WTT Feeder Cappadocia title in Turkey on Friday. Das and Bhowmick, who entered the main draw as the wild cards, scripted a fairly tale run to beat the top seeded Ng Win Lam and Wong Hoi Tung of Hong Kong 3-1 in the final. The Indians did not have the best of starts in the title clash as Ng and Wong raced to pocket the opening game 11-3 within the blink of an eye. The teenaged Indians seemed to be set up for a thrashing, but they weren’t the ones to give up easily. Das and Bhowmick held their own at crucial moments to win the second game 11-9 to show that they belonged. Syndrela-Divyanshi reach women’s doubles final

The Indian women’s doubles pair of Syndrela Das and Divyanshi Bhowmick stormed into the final of the 2026 WTT Feeder in Cappadocia, Turkey on Thursday. The teenaged duo of Das and Bhowmick beat Romania’s Elena Zaharia and Ioana Singeorzan 11-3, 11-3, 6-11, 11-7 in just under 25 minutes. The Indians dominated the opening two games rather comfortably, before slipping up in the third. The lower ranked pair, however, ensured that they don’t let the match out of their grasp and wrapped it up with an 11-7 win in the fourth game. Das and Bhowmick will now face off against the top seeded NG Wing Lam and Wong Hoi Tung of Hong Kong in the title clash on Friday. Divyanshi Bhowmick wins U15 singles bronze at ITTF Youth Worlds

Divyanshi Bhowmick produced one of India’s most significant results in youth table tennis by winning the bronze medal in the U15 girls’ singles at the ITTF Youth World Table Tennis Championships in Cluj-Napoca. The 14-year-old also secured her second medal of the competition, following the U15 girls’ team bronze earlier in the tournament. With this result, Divyanshi becomes only the third Indian ever to win a singles medal at the Youth World Championships, joining Payas Jain (2021) and Suhana Saini (2021). Divyanshi started strongly in the round of 32, defeating Ireland’s Jade Morice. In the round of 16, she overcame South Korea’s Kim Minseo 4–2. India win all 12 gold medals on offer

Ankur Bhattacharjee proved to be too strong for the U-19 boys’ category as he beat Abhinandh Pradhivadhi 3-0 in the boy’s singles final at the 2025 WTT Youth Contender Vadodara on Saturday. Abhinandh showed some fight in the second game, pushing Ankur to the brink but the latter recovered quickly to take the third and final game very easily.
