Actor Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy, newlyweds Allu Sirish and Nayanika Reddy and several other members of the Allu family also present at the inauguration. The multiplex is located within the Allu Studios complex in Kokapet, on the western outskirts of Hyderabad, and has been built as a luxury movie destination equipped with advanced projection and sound technologies. The theatre has been developed by producer Allu Aravind and his family. Dolby Atmos, the dominant name behind spatial audio in theaters and the home, has become a fixture in luxury cars from the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Rivian, Cadillac, and Lucid priced upwards of $70,000. But now, Hyundai is including Dolby Atmos audio in the new entry-level Elexio EV — a China-exclusive (for now) SUV that costs between RMB 119,800 and 149,800 (or $16,800 to $21,000). Unlike the more luxury vehicles that have included Atmos as part of a premium package, the Hyundai Elexio will offer it as standard on all trims through its six built-in speakers. There is the option of increasing that to eight speakers with an external amplifier. While this might not measure up to the dozen or more speakers offered in Cadillac, Rivian, or Lucid, the inclusion of Dolby Atmos with six to eight speakers has the potential to deliver a more immersive and satisfying audio experience while driving the kids to school or being stuck in rush-hour traffic. Apple is pushing a new software update for Apple TV today that includes a useful feature for home theater setups: the ability to automatically calibrate the synchronization of Dolby Atmos surround sound audio with your speakers. The new tvOS 18.5 update enhances Apple’s existing Wireless Audio Sync feature, introduced in 2019, that lets you use your iPhone’s microphone to calibrate audio sources with your home theater speakers. Now it can help you get your TV video synced up with Atmos audio over either AirPlay or Bluetooth by accounting for latency. As pointed out by MacRumors, people have complained about Apple TV Dolby Atmos syncing issues with sound bars and other speakers on Reddit and on Apple’s community discussions page, but until now they couldn’t use Apple’s tool to try to fix things.
