Delhi govt orders DPS Dwarka to readmit 32 students it rusticated | Delhi News

The Delhi government on Thursday ordered Delhi Public School (DPS), Dwarka, to readmit 32 students it had rusticated earlier this month over non-payment of fees. The Directorate of Education (DoE), in an order, also directed the DPS Dwarka management to abide by the Delhi High Court’s directions issued on April 16 and “not to harass students” and “restrain from taking any coercive action”. In its April 16 order, the HC had termed DPS Dwarka’s action against students “a very alarming state of affairs” and chastised the school for using the institution as a “money-making machine”. Justice Sachin Datta had restrained DPS Dwarka from engaging in any discriminatory practices against students, who had protested over a hike in fees. The HC had also directed the school not to prevent such students from interacting with others or subject them to any form of prejudice or humiliation. Dark web used to send hoax bomb threat mail to DPS RK Puram, finds police probe | Delhi News

Days after Delhi Public School RK Puram received a hoax bomb threat on its email, claiming two devices were planted on the premises, a police probe revealed that the suspect used the Tor browser to access the Dark Web through which they used a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to send the email. While police have not been able to trace the sender, senior officers suspect they are students of the same school. Said an officer, “Through Tor, a dark web browser, (the sender) used a VPN of a foreign country, which we are trying to trace… we have written to the internet service providers to get their web connection details and eventually trace back the IP address.” The officer added that the suspect used an Outlook ID to send the e-mail, and tracing their digital footprints “will be an arduous task” because they might have used several VPN layers. “In Tor, there is an entry and exit VPN.
