E.P. Jayarajan to release autobiography next month, ends legal row with DC books

GOPAKUMAR Communist Party of India [CPI(M)] leader E.P.Jayarajan has announced that his autobiography will be release early next month (June), putting an end to legal dispute with DC Books. He confirmed having spoken to the publisher Mathrubhumi verbally and said that “having acknowledged the mistake, I see no merit in pursuing further legal action.” Addressing the media in Kannur on Tuesday, Mr. Jayarajan said “I am not a politician seeking revenge. I don’t wish to waste time on this.” He hinted at revealing more about the controversy surrounding the autobiography in its upcoming edition, saying “We know who is behind it. Jayarajan has rejected claims about the publication of his autobiography, labelling them as “false and politically motivated.” He said legal action would be taken against those spreading misinformation. Mr. Jayarajan on Wednesday (November 13, 2024) clarified that although he is indeed working on an autobiography, it remains unfinished, and no one has been authorised to publish or distribute it. “The content claiming to be from my autobiography is entirely fabricated,” Mr. Jayarajan told reporters. “This was done to harm the party on election day. When my book is finally published, the truth will be clear.” he said. E.P. Jayarajan skips Chadayan Govindan memorial meet

Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] central committee member E.P. Jayarajan did not attend the memorial meet for former CPI(M) State secretary Chadayan Govindan held at Payyambalam on Monday. The absence, despite an earlier press release stating his participation alongside Politbureau member A. Vijayaraghavan, was attributed to Mr. Jayarajan’s ongoing Ayurvedic treatment. The meet, marking the 26th death anniversary of Govindan, saw notable CPI(M) leaders in attendance. Mr. Jayarajan, who has been notably reticent following his removal as Left Democratic Front convener, has refrained from participating in party events or engaging with journalists. . Party Kannur district secretary M.V. Jayarajan addressed the media, clarifying that Mr. E.P. Jayarajan’s absence was due to his treatment. Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan has said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is setting up Left Democratic Front (LDF) convener E.P. Jayarajan as a sacrificial goat for the impending rout awaiting the LDF in the Lok Sabha polls. Talking to media persons here on Friday, Mr. Satheesan said that Mr. Jayarajan had met Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kerala Prabhari Prakash Javadekar with the knowledge of Mr. Vijayan, who has now left the former to fend for himself. Jayarajan on April 26 told reporters in Kannur that he had briefly met Prakash Javadekar, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Kerala in-charge, at his son’s flat in Thiruvananthapuram.  Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K. Sudhakaran had stirred up a storm on April 25, accusing Mr. Jayarajan of secretly plotting to defect to the BJP by opening a secret communication channel with the party’s leadership.  The LDF found itself in a spot after BJP leader Sobha Surendran and T.G.
