(REUTERS) According to German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Bhutan at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles) at around 11:06 pm. The epicentre of the earthquake was located at Bhutan’s Punakha, north of West Bengal. Tremors were felt across North Bengal, parts of the northeast, and Bangladesh. Several internet users took to social media to report tremors in the region. There were no immediate report of any damages or casualties. The latest tremors come hours after an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 struck Afghanistan at a depth of 160 kilometres, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
