Bhubaneswar, Five eastern states on Tuesday resolved to strengthen inter-state coordination for effectively combating organised crimes, Left-Wing Extremism , infiltration and other emerging security challenges in the region, officials said. Eastern states resolve to strengthen coordination against LWE, organized crime & other challenges Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal agreed on this at a high-level meeting of the Eastern Regional Police Coordination Committee held here under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The meeting, chaired by Odisha’s Director General of Police YB Khurania, was attended by the DGPs of the four other states, along with senior officers from the Central Armed Police Forces , Central Police Organisations and other officers from the participating states. Welcoming the delegates, Khurania observed that such collaborative platforms are instrumental in strengthening operational synergy, fostering mutual trust and reinforcing the country’s internal security architecture.
