The Latur administration has launched a crackdown on illegal coaching centres and related commercial activities following the city’s links to the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case and the ensuing Central Bureau of Investigation probe, officials said, reported PTI.  The CBI has arrested 11 accused in the case, including retired professor PV Kulkarni and Renukai Career Centre director Shivraj Motegaonkar. Industrial sheds allegedly misused for coaching business Officials said the district administration has begun tightening its grip on the city’s controversial “coaching classes area,” the news agency reported.  On Friday, the Zilla Udyog Kendra (District Industries Centre) directed the immediate closure of all commercial activities operating illegally from industrial sheds allotted for manufacturing purposes within the Latur Industrial Estate Co-operative Society.
