Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Rajya Sabha MP Sasmit Patra on Tuesday raised serious concerns about the possible deletion of nearly 9.8 lakh voters in Odisha. Poll violations: More than 250 complaints/day by citizens on election app, 1014 on Friday alone | Mumbai News

THE cVIGIL application that empowers citizens to flag any violation of rules by political parties in the run up to elections has so far received more than 7,400 complaints since the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) came into effect on October 15. Of these 7360 complaints have been taken care off by the state election commission as per data provided by them on Friday evening. Of the 7400 complaints, 1014 complaints were received on Friday alone. Since October 15 when MCC came into effect in the state till November 14, a total of 7,400 complaints have been received by SEC through the cVIGIL app coming up to nearly 250 complaints per day, as per their data. Of these, 6381 complaints have been taken care of by officials.
