The Testaments review: Chase Infiniti struggles with limited material in Handmaid’s Tale sequel | Web-series News

7 min readMay 28, 2026 08:17 AM IST In 2025, The Handmaid’s Tale finally came to an end after a painfully long run of six seasons. Those who managed to watch it all will know how particularly boring and repetitive those last few seasons were with June (Elisabeth Moss) going in and out of Gilead (the dystopian totalitarian regime run by men) as she pleased, as the viewers waited for her to actually reunite with her long lost daughter, Hannah. In case anyone remembers, that was her mission when she first started her rebellion. As the seasons went on, the missions kept changing, and June found smaller wins, Hannah became a haunting memory, as it reminded her that despite all the good she had tried to do, she had failed on her biggest mission. In The Testaments, which begins four years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale, Hannah is at the center, but she isn’t the same anymore; she is now known as Agnes (Chase Infiniti). With no memory of her birth parents, she …

Shooting The Handmaid’s Tale’s final season as a new mother was ‘visceral’, says Elisabeth Moss

Shooting The Handmaid’s Tale’s final season as a new mother was ‘visceral’, says Elisabeth Moss

Apr 03, 2025 11:33 PM IST Now that Elisabeth Moss is a mother herself, playing June Osborne and bidding goodbye to her with the final season of The Handmaid’s Tale has to hit different It’s not hard to see why The Handmaid’s Tale struck a chord with women the world over. Across 5 stupendous seasons, the dystopian drama has painted a world which may seem like an outrageously exaggerated take on the social standing women in an eternally-patriarchal world — but not exactly improbable. The series which has crowned Elisabeth Moss with an Emmy and Golden Globe win for her portrayal of June Osborne, will soon be airing its final season. The official trailer for the same was released by Hulu 2 weeks back which rightly proclaimed — ‘everything has led to this’. Elisabeth Moss comments on how motherhood impacted her approach to The Handmaid’s Tale’s final season Ahead of the season premiere held last night in California, Elisabeth opened up about her last dance of death with June on-screen: “I love this story so …

The Veil Review: Elisabeth Moss’ Outstanding Performance Keeps You Hooked Despite the Uneven Writing

The Veil Review: There is no denying that Elisabeth Moss is an outstanding actress. Year after year, she has been picking up unique roles delivering interesting series. While we all know her for the famous Mad Men and The Handmaid’s Tale, in 2022, she impressed everyone with the thriller Shining Girls. The British-American actress returns with yet another thriller, titled The Veil. However, the uneven writing feels like a blow to her performance. Set against the turbulent areas of Syria, Turkey, and Paris, The Veil revolves around two women — Imogen (Elisabeth Moss) and Adilah (Yumna Marwan). Imogen is a veteran MI6 agent with her ways of getting to the truth. Extremely smart, she fits into any situation like a chameleon. She is assigned a task of abducting a woman from a refugee camp on the borders of Syria. The woman is identified as Adilah, who is under the military custody at the camp and is said to be a probable threat to the world. However, when Imogen and Adilah cross paths, viewers along with …

Next Goal Wins movie review: Taika Waititi keeps it light and fun | Movie-review News

Taika Waititi is perhaps trying to pack too much into a film that is about the length of a football game. There is the underdog story, of the American Samoa football team that carries the tag of being “the world’s worst” for losing a game 31 goals to nil. There is the coach story, of the kind who needs to redeem himself having had one tumble too many. And there is the Waititi story, which must now make itself felt in his every venture – a blend of funny, absurd, and on-the-nose White Man vs The Rest theme. It’s perhaps not the best way to tell this tale, based on the real-life American Samoa team, which suffered the ignominy of that loss. The jokes come at the expense of digging into the individual stories of the players, some of whom hold multiple jobs to be able to continue playing. And at the cost of looking deeper into the small island of just over 50,000, which is on the face of it a paradise, of communal …
