In the email, the sender threatened to “blast” the governor, the official added. “The accused also mentioned his mobile number in the email. We have informed the DGP and asked him to arrest the person immediately,” the official told PTI. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also been informed. The matter has also been reported to the Union Home Ministry. State police and the CRPF are working together to ensure the governor’s safety, the official said. The Commissioner of Police of Bengaluru City received a bomb threat on his official email id on Sunday. The threat was targeted at the Kempegowda International Airport, along with various malls in Bengaluru city, officials said, reported news agency ANI. The threat was received via an email with the name `Mohit Kumar`. An FIR under Section 173 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) has been filed in the case, reported ANI. The threat mail was sent from the Jaish-e-Mohammed White collar terror team and gave details of the bomb blasts at the targeted locations. Palghar: The collector’s office in Maharashtra’s Palghar received a bomb threat email in the early hours of Tuesday, prompting the police to evacuate the premises, officials said. The threat turned out to be a hoax, a senior police officer said late at night. An email was sent to the official ID of the collectorate around 6.23 am, stating that RDX was planted on the premises and it would explode at 3.30 pm, they said.
