Higher Education Minister Roji M. John declared the results in Kochi on Saturday (June 27, 2026). Dhyan Tej Manappatti of Cheruvanchery, Kannur, is the second rank holder, and Vismaya K. R of Eravathur, Thrissur, is the third rank holder in the engineering stream. Jessae Jestin of Ollur, Thrissur got the second rank and Diya Fathima of Kavanoor, Malappuram secured the third rank in pharmacy respectively. 2 min readNew DelhiJun 14, 2026 10:05 AM IST With the National Testing Agency scheduled to conduct the NEET exam on June 21, the engineering admission counselling schedule in Tamil Nadu is expected to face delays. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2026 (TNEA 2026) is a fully digital process encompassing online registration, fee payment, choice filling, seat allotment, and final confirmation. The Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) under the Higher Education Department has started receiving applications from May 3 and concluded on June 5. According to a senior official from DOTE, though over 3.02 lakh students have enrolled, as many as 2,45,220 have uploaded their certificates. As the NEET re-exam is scheduled to be held on June 21, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is yet to approve the engineering counselling schedule. “However, the certificate verification has begun,” he said, adding “the rank list will be published on June 29 as per schedule.” The official said that counselling should be held after the completion of certificate verification. Police identified the deceased as Sameer Madhavrao Dabholkar (53), a resident of Swaraj Heights, Sai Nagar, in Hingne Khurd area of Pune city. Police said before ending his life Dabholkar posted a video on his wife’s cellphone in which he mentioned that he did not get his salary. His son Vrushabh Dabholkar (22) lodged the FIR at the Bharatiya Vidyapeeth police station. As per the FIR, the police booked Sinhagad College of Engineering founder Maruti Nivrutti Navale, secretary Sunanda Maruti Navale, vice presidents Rachana Navale Ashtekar and Rahul Maruti Navale and other office-bearers, under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 108 (abetment of suicide) and 3(5). These seats are allocated through an online counselling process conducted under a single-window system by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE).
