Trump’s messaging on Iran grows increasingly erratic

With his sensational statements on Truth Social and serial phone chats with individual journalists, President Donald Trump has only added to the confusion surrounding his plans for Iran in recent days. Trump’s messaging on Iran grows increasingly erratic The US president has been commenting on the conflict almost in real time in seemingly off-the-cuff exchanges with reporters, including from AFP, who call his cell phone. Twice in recent days the White House has had to correct statements the 79-year-old billionaire made in the calls. On Sunday, Trump told broadcaster ABC that Vice President JD Vance would not be leading the US delegation for a second round of talks with Iran in Pakistan, a statement quickly pulled back by official sources. On Monday, Trump told the New York Post that negotiators were en route to Islamabad. They were not. The vice president was still in Washington at midday Tuesday for “meetings.” The multiple conversations with reporters undermine well-established norms that the president’s “time is precious” and that he “must always use secure communications,” said Robert Rowland, …

‘Punjab Kings owners were erratic at times and it worked as handbrake for them’: Former captain Adam Gilchrist on Punjab Kings’s ownership problems | Ipl News

While Punjab Kings has seen 17 captains in the last 17 years of Indian Premier League, the Ness Wadia-Preity Zinta-Mohit Burman owned side has reached the final of the tournament only once. The solitary IPL final appearance came in 2014 when Australian George Bailey led the then Kings XI Punjab to their first and only final IPL appearance where they lost against Kolkata Knight Riders. With former Australian captain Rickey Ponting being appointed as Punjab Kings and last year winners Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer now in Kings Colours, former Punjab Kings (Earlier Kings XI Punjab) captain and coach Adam Gilchrist believes that the duo can steady the ship for the team. The former Australian wicket-keeper also revealed about the ownership group being erratic and how it acted as a ‘handbreak’ in the team’s progress. “I think the combination of Ricky Ponting and Shreyas Iyer will inspire that franchise. They have worked well together previously and that’s going to be the cohesive gel to bring their ownership together. There’s still the same ownership when …

Erratic Lakshya Sen Commits Several Errors, Crashes Out Of Malaysia Super 100 In 1st Round

An inconsistent Lakshya Sen faltered in his opening match, while HS Prannoy endured a frustrating start to the season-opening Malaysia Super 100 badminton tournament as his opener against Canada’s Brian Yang was suspended midway due to a leaking roof at the Axiata Arena on Tuesday. Lakshya, coming off a title win at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow and a third-place finish at the King Cup International, failed to replicate his recent form and succumbed to Chi Yu-jen of Chinese Taipei, losing 14-21, 7-21. The Indian shuttler’s game was riddled with unforced errors, leaving him with little chance against the 27-year-old. Lakshya succumbs to errors The opening game was tightly contested in the initial stages as the two players traded points to stay level at 6-6. Leading 9-7, Yu Jen claimed a crucial long rally with a cross-court smash and entered the mid-game interval with a three-point cushion, aided by a misjudgment from Lakshya. After the break, Lakshya began committing a flurry of unforced errors, allowing his opponent to build confidence and extend …

IVR Pricing Is Erratic, But it Can Work in Your Favor

Phone systems have changed a lot, but IVR pricing is still all over the map. For example: Software systems that include IVR can go for as low as $60 per user per month. Some standalone hardware IVR systems cost well over $50,000 just for the initial purchase. It makes sense, though, because businesses need widely different capabilities out of their Interactive Voice Response (IVR) — routing calls, taking payments, allowing customers to access their account. And once you need all of this to work seamlessly across multiple locations, the complexity goes up exponentially. In this post, we’ll cover what different types of systems cost, what they can do, and what you should be thinking about as you price out IVR systems for your organization. IVR pricing at a glance We’ll cover where all these prices come from in detail, but here’s the 10,000 view of what different types of IVR systems cost: Ultra-customizable, on-premises hardware IVRs can cost upwards of $50,000 for the initial setup. Off-premises, cloud-based IVRs cost anywhere from $0-$1,000 for the initial …

India Open Badminton: Erratic HS Prannoy Bows Out Of Semifinals

India’s HS Prannoy was completely outplayed by world no. 2 Shi Yu Qi of China as he crashed out of the India Open Super 750 badminton tournament after a straight-game loss in the semi-finals on Saturday. The World No. 9 Indian matched his rival in the initial phase but after 14-14 in the opening game, he faded into oblivion as Shi Yu Qi registered a 21-15 21-5 win in what turned out to be a lop-sided contest at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall here. Shi Yu Qi moved with ease across the court and played with patience and precision to outwit Prannoy, who looked sloppy in the second game. In the opening game, Prannoy opened up a 6-3 lead with two steep returns and after winning a net duel. A backhand going to net and another net error from the Indian brought Shi Yu Qi back at 6-6. The Chinese played a couple of nice-looking around the head smashes to move to 10-8. Prannoy again clawed back before Shi Yu Qi entered the …

Thank You For Coming Review: More Erratic Than Erotic

Bhumi, Shibani and Dolly in a still from the film. (Courtesy: YouTube) At under two hours, Karan Boolani’s Thank You for Coming is by no stretch of the imagination a long film. But the frothy jabber-fest of a sex comedy, written by Radhika Anand and stand-up comic Prashasti Singh, quickly outlives its welcome. The film not only fails to rid itself of its flabby frivolity but it also makes the audience wade through massive amounts of verbiage that often lapses into unintelligible blabber. Laboured, hackneyed and exhausting, Thank You for Coming makes the same point over and over again until it has absolutely nothing, fresh or otherwise, left to say. It takes an eternity to find some sort of rhythm. When it eventually does – the film’s second half is far better than the first, which isn’t necessarily saying much given how wayward the kick-off is – it moves forward (and sometimes even backwards) only in fits and starts, goes into repetitive loops, froths at the mouth and gets exceedingly antsy.   More erratic than erotic, …

India Open: Erratic Kidambi Srikanth Bows Out; Malvika Bansod, Aakarshi Kashyap Out Too

A fighting Kidambi Srikanth couldn’t sustain the pressure as he went down in straight games to Olympic and world champion Viktor Axelsen in his opening men’s singles match at the Yonex-Sunrise India Open Super 750 tournament in New Delhi on Wednesday. Srikanth, a world championship silver medallist, flattered to deceive as he squandered a 14-5 lead in the second game to go down 14-21 19-21 to the world no. 1 Dane, leaving the cheering fans at the IG stadium disappointed. World no. 39 Aakarshi Kashyap and world no. 34 Malvika Bansod also couldn’t match their fancied rivals — USA’s Beiwen Zhang and Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrung — and bowed out after losing their respective matches. While Akarshi lost 15-21 12-21 to former champion Zhang, Malvika squandered an 11-8 lead in the opening game to eventually go down 17-21 12-21 to world no. 12 Busanan. With the crowd rooting for him, Srikanth, a former world no.1, made a good start as he dominated the rallies, extracting mistakes from Axelsen. The Indian tried to lunge his opponent forward, …
