A group of persons with disabilities has demanded the cancellation of the transfer of Indian Administrative Service officer Tukaram Mundhe, who served as Secretary in the Divyang Kalyan (Disability Welfare) Department. According to PTI, the group protested outside the Nanded Collector’s office on Wednesday, raising slogans to press for their demand. Mundhe was recently appointed as Secretary, Disaster Management, Rehabilitation, Revenue and Forest Department at Mantralaya, the state secretariat in Mumbai. A 13-year-old girl was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Rajasthan’s Bikaner on Saturday, triggering protests by locals who alleged that the minor was raped, the police said.
