The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday announced the schedule for the Class 10 second examination, which will begin on May 15 with the Mathematics (Basic and Standard) paper and conclude on May 21 with the Social Science exam, according to the date sheet. The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday issued detailed guidelines for principals and heads of affiliated schools regarding the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 10 second board examination 2026. The examination fee payment for Phase 1 will take place from around noon on April 16, 2026, to April 20. During Phase 2, both LOC submission and fee payment can be completed between April 16 and April 20. For those who miss the earlier deadlines, Phase 3 will allow LOC submission and fee payment with a late fee from April 21 to April 22, 2026. Board’s key instructions regarding the second examination Students who missed the first phase still have the opportunity to apply and pay the required fee, while those already registered only need to complete the payment. Candidates may also withdraw if they choose not to appear. A change in Mathematics is permitted, from Standard to Basic and vice versa, but no other subject changes are allowed. That’s all it took for a racket to allegedly write exams on behalf of candidates fraudulently, police said. One Harsh Vardhan (28) has been apprehended in connection with the case, they said. Harsh, a resident of Patna in Bihar, was running the show from Dwarka’s Happy Homes apartment, police said. He allegedly “hired” students from prestigious universities, telling them that they had to play the role of “problem-solvers” for various coaching centre examinations and test papers. Based on the repute of their colleges and skillset, they were offered fees ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000, per question. Police said that on Tuesday, the racket was allegedly helping candidates appearing for an IT lab test in Jodhpur — part of the entrance exam of Mumbai’s prestigious Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. JEE Mains 2026 session 1 result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the JEE Main session 1. Initially scheduled for February 12, the scorecards will be released four days later, on February 16. Students will be able to access their results at the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in — once they are declared. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam was conducted in computer-based mode between January 21 and January 29. The three-hour long exam was held in two shifts each day — the exam for morning shift began at 9:00 am while that of the afternoon shift commenced at 3:00 pm. The provisional answer keys of paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech) along with the question papers with recorded responses were released on the website on February 4. The Goa Police have taken the Luthra brothers, Gaurav and Saurabh, accused in the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub fire tragedy that claimed 25 lives on December 6, for medical examination, news agency ANI reported. The Luthra brothers were formally arrested by the Goa Police at the New Delhi International Airport on Tuesday after they were deported from Thailand. A team from the Goa Police was present at the Indira Gandhi International Airport to take custody of the brothers.  The Luthra brothers will be produced before the Patiala House court in the national capital, after which Goa Police will take them to the state, ANI reported.  The siblings, owners of the `Birch by Romeo Lane` nightclub, were detained by the Thai Police from a resort in Phuket after India moved to suspend their passports.
