Fatwa against Aamir Khan According to ANI, the fatwa was issued on the grounds that Aamir’s marriage to Gauri is against Sharia because she is a non-Muslim. Maulana Ibrahim Hussain stated that under his interpretation of Islamic law, a Muslim man is not permitted to marry a non-Muslim woman unless she embraces Islam.
