This marks a significant milestone in the evolution of Mumbai’s metro ecosystem. In October 2025, Bhumi Pednekar teamed up with crowd-funding organisation Ketto India and Bharat Disaster Relief Foundation (BDRF) to start a campaign for the families affected by the cloudburst-induced flash floods that devastated parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir. Three months on, rehabilitation work has begun in the towns of Thunag, Janjehli, and Jhaniyar in Himachal Pradesh. A source shares that Pednekar wanted to throw her might behind the relief work soon after she visited Jammu last October and saw the devastation. “Right after her visit, Bhumi announced the crowd-funding initiative. By December, it had raised Rs 12 lakh. ED facilitates Rs 311.67 crore payout for Kingfisher Airlines employees’ dues

The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Mumbai Zonal Office, on Friday facilitated the restitution of Rs 311.67 crore towards long-pending workmen dues of the Kingfisher Airlines Limited (KAL). This marks a significant step in victim-centric restoration of proceeds of crime under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The restitution has been enabled pursuant to an order dated December 12, 2025, passed by the Recovery Officer of the Debts Recovery Tribunal (DRT)-I, Chennai.  The order by the DRT directed the release of funds realised from the sale of attached shares, which had earlier been restituted to the State Bank of India (SBI) by the ED under PMLA provisions.  As per the orders, the amount will now be transferred to the Official Liquidator for disbursement to former employees of Kingfisher Airlines. Earlier the ED had initiated its investigation based on multiple FIRs registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Kingfisher Airlines, its promoter Vijay Mallya, and associated entities for offences relating to bank fraud and criminal conspiracy—scheduled offences under the PMLA.  The probe, however, revealed …

Fox Kitten Facilitates Ransomware in US

A new joint cybersecurity advisory from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center exposed new information about the infamous Iran-based threat actor known as Fox Kitten. The group sells the corporate access they obtain in cybercriminal’s underground forums and collaborates actively with ransomware affiliates to assist in ransoming victims. The threat actor has set their sights on infiltrating the U.S. and other foreign organizations in recent weeks. Who is Fox Kitten? Fox Kitten — also known as Pioneer Kitten, UNC757, Parasite, Rubidium, and Lemon Sandworm — is a threat actor that has actively committed cyberespionage since at least 2017. The FBI said that the group is associated with the Iranian government and supports the theft of sensitive technical data against various organizations, per the advisory. The threat actor has targeted companies in the middle-east such as Israel and Azerbaijan, but also companies in Australia, Finland, Ireland, France, Germany, Algeria, Turkey, the U.S., and possibly more. CBI facilitates return of gold smuggling case accused from Saudi Arabia via Interpol channels

Sudershan The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has coordinated the return of a gold smuggling case accused from Saudi Arabia via Interpol channels. The accused has been identified as Shokat Ali and he was wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). On September 13, 2021, an Interpol Red Notice was issued against him based on a request made through the CBI. He was tracked down to Saudi Arabia and brought back to India. A Red Notice issued by Interpol is a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action. It is based on an arrest warrant or court order issued by the judicial authorities in the requesting country. “The subject is wanted by the NIA in a criminal case registered on September 22, 2020, related to seizure of smuggled gold bars at Jaipur International Airport in Rajasthan on July 3, 2020,” an official said.
