Maharashtra Legislative Council member and former minister Bachchu Kadu has called on the two rival Shiv Sena factions to consider reuniting, saying such a move would strengthen the party and benefit Maharashtra, reported the PTI. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Kadu made the appeal a day after both the Shiv Sena and the Shiv Sena (UBT) marked the party’s 60th foundation day separately. Kadu, who recently joined the faction led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and was elected to the Legislative Council, said senior leaders from both camps should make efforts towards reconciliation. According to Kadu, the focus should be on increasing the strength of the Shiv Sena rather than continuing internal divisions. “I feel that everyone should think about how the Shiv Sena’s strength can grow.
