‘I believe the feedback should also have come from Indian team management because….’: Ashwin on Shubman Gill being dropped from Indian T20 World Cup squad | Cricket News

With vice-captain Shubman Gill being dropped from the Indian team for the T20 World Cup, it has meant the Indian Test and ODI captain missed out from the T20 World Cup for the second time in succession since he came into the Indian T20 team. With the Indian selectors showing faith in Sanju Samson as an opener in the team announced on Saturday, former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin believes that this feedback to drop Subhuman would have come from the Indian team management too with Indian changing their style of play in the power play with Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson personifying that pattern of play. “Obviously, Shubman Gill had been given a lot of backing. The selectors showed a lot of faith because he was directly appointed vice-captain. Right now, it has become very very clear as to what looks like a very very good combination. I believe the feedback should also have come from Indian team management because we have to remember that India changed their style of play inside the powerplay. Rohit …

Neeraj Ghaywan opens up about receiving feedback from Martin Scorsese on Homebound screenplay, ‘It still hasn’t sunk in’ | Bollywood News

At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan is experiencing what many directors only dream of. His film Homebound not only premiered in the prestigious Un Certain Regard section, but also came with creative input from legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese. In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter India, Ghaywan opened up about the surreal experience of receiving detailed notes on his screenplay from Scorsese himself. “Well, the notes came in over e-mail, and… and detail. In detail. Because he started out on the script, and he said advised me to shave off a lot of the exposition. And, you know, this is the first time I’m actually writing a full screenplay. So that was a little daunting, because every filmmaker wants to say a hundred things in the same film,” Ghaywan shared. “So those things, and try to put restraint on some of the arcs that he said may impede your main narrative. Those points were really bang on because it helped me, like, pave the screenplay.” He added that Scorsese’s guidance didn’t end …
