Anil Kapoor’s Gratitude Note After “Iconic Achievement” Is All Heart

The actor won the award in the Best Supporting Actor (Male) category for his role in the film JugJugg Jeeyo. The Raj Mehta film also starred Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor and Kiara Advani. Anil Kapoor said that a Filmfare award is “timeless” and an “iconic achievement”. Anupam Kher has shared a cryptic tweet after his film The Kashmir Files was snubbed at the Filmfare Awards held in Mumbai on Thursday. The film was nominated in multiple categories including Anupam being nominated for Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male), which was eventually won by Rajkummar Rao for Badhaai Do. The film seems to have been snubbed at the awards ceremony due to director Vivek Agnihotri’s refusal to accept the awards. He had written a long note ahead of the event, calling Filmfare “unethical and anti-cinema awards”. The filmmaker is upset that the poster for best director nominees of the 68th edition of Filmfare Awards, shared by the publication on social media, features the stills of lead actors of the nominated films, instead of the directors.
