Days after reports claimed that filmmaker Rohit Shetty was illegally using police stickers and flashing lights on his cars, his team has issued a clarification. Reports had suggested that at least two of the filmmakers private SUVs had police-style markings and lights, which are typically restricted to official law enforcement vehicles under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. In response, Shetty’s team explained that the markings were intended as a security measure following the February incident and not meant to misuse police authority. The spokesperson stated, “Following the firing incident at Rohit Shetty’s residence, the police had implemented heightened security measures and provided protection.
