Over the next 12-18 months, between the two sites, we expect to have a headcount of 1,000 people, if not more, driving a lot of our global work out of India,” said Rajiv Gajria, vice president and managing director of Blackbaud India. While the immediate focus is on strengthening its India capabilities, the company would also like to evaluate the country as a potential market for its products. “There is a lot of opportunity here. IIT Madras incubated deep tech firm Solinas Integrity raises funds for expansion

Solinas Integrity, an IIT Madras incubated climate deep tech and robotics company based at the IIT Madras Research Park, has secured $5.5 million in a Series A1 funding round led by Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures and co-led by Mela Ventures, with participation from the Luthra Group. Existing investor SBI Ventures, through the SVL-SME Fund, doubled down on its position, alongside continued backing from Rainmatter and 8X Ventures Fund I. The round follows Solinas’s Series A, led by SBI Ventures through the SVL-SME Fund (Neev II) in May 2024. Kumbhat Advisors, led by Akash Sethia, served as Exclusive Financial Advisor to the transaction. Solinas will use the fresh capital to scale aggressively and deepen its penetration in existing markets while expanding into new states and municipal corporations across India and building out its international footprint with a strategic focus on the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Ltd. on July 29 after finding that it is likely to mislead the public into believing that the real estate company is associated with the global video game maker. Nintendo Co. Ltd., in its suit, stated that it was founded in Japan in 1889 and now a globally recognised developer and publisher of video games and gaming consoles, with registered trademark rights over the coined mark ‘NINTENDO’. A job racket promising appointments as Panchayat Development Officers (PDOs) in the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department has come to light after a senior manager of a private pharmaceutical company allegedly lost ₹26 lakh to fraudsters. According to a complaint filed at the Vidhana Soudha Police Station, the victim, a senior manager at a private pharmaceutical company in Whitefield, alleged that the accused convinced him they could secure a PDO post through their political and bureaucratic contacts. The police said the prime accused, Santosh Hosamani, came into contact with him in December 2024 and claimed to be working in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) with strong links to Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) officials. He initially demanded ₹50 lakh for the job and allegedly collected ₹26 lakh in instalments. When the appointment order did not materialise, the complainant questioned the accused. But when the second direction came the next morning—to urgently transfer Rs 1.5 crore—things did not feel right for her. A timely check then limited the financial loss to Rs 56 lakh. The Italy-headquartered firm was targeted in a whale phishing attack—or what the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) calls the “boss scam”. The Pimpri-Chinchwad police have launched an investigation. GUWAHATI The Arunachal Pradesh government on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) signed a memorandum of understanding with Norway’s Tidal Sails AS to establish India’s first kinetic energy demonstration plant. A clean energy company based in Haugesund, Tidal Sails AS will help the State implement a 500 kW project to demonstrate a technology to generate electricity directly from river currents without requiring major civil infrastructure, offering an environmentally sustainable and cost-effective renewable energy solution. The agreement was signed between the Arunachal Pradesh government’s Centre for Earth Sciences and Himalayan Studies and the Norwegian firm under the India-Norway Green Partnership. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Innovation Norway are supporting the project.
