A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl was allegedly kidnapped from her home in Maval taluka of Pune district, was sexually assaulted and brutally strangled to death by a man living in the same neighbourhood and known to the victim’s family, the Pimpri Chinchwad police said. Police have arrested the 32-year-old suspect in the early hours of Sunday. A case in this regard was registered at a police station under the Pimpri Chinchwad police jurisdiction. “Both parents of the girl were at work on Saturday evening. In the night, when the mother returned home, she found that the girl was nowhere to be seen. The family searched for her in the area but she could not be found. In a tragic incident, a five-year-old boy died after falling into a 100-foot-deep well while he was playing outside his home in Rajasthan’s Sirohi district, the police said Friday. The incident happened in Derna village on Thursday night when Ravi fell into the well. After receiving the information, administrative officials reached the spot with the rescue team, Aburoad Sadar SHO Darshan Singh said. A five-year-old child fell into an open borewell on Monday in Papada police station area of Rajasthan`s Dausa district, prompting authorities to launch a rescue operation. Aryan was playing in an agriculture field at Kalikhad village when he slipped into the borewell this afternoon, and has been trapped at a depth of about 150 feet inside, Nangal Circle Officer Charul Gupta said. A five-year-old girl was raped by three boys who lived as tenants in her house in Uttar Pradesh`s Ballia district, police said on Saturday. All three accused have been taken into custody, PTI reported. According to PTI, the incident took place on Wednesday evening in the area of Kotwali police station. Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Vir said the five-year-old was raped on the roof of her house by the three boys. He said that the accused`s families, who were six, thirteen, and sixteen years old, were tenants in the girl`s home. She was on ventilator support for over a week. This rare brain infection is caused by Naegleria fowleri, also called ‘brain-eating amoeba’. Fadva had taken a bath along with relatives at the Kadalundi river near her house on May 1. Her parents took her to a paediatrician on May 10 for headache and vomiting. A five-year-old girl was injured in an acid attack near Ekkattuthangal Metro station on Sunday. A miscreant threw acid on people sleeping on the pavement near the metro station. Around 8.30 p.m., Raja, who came on a bicycle, threw an acid bottle on the pavement and fled, according to a complaint filed by Revathy. She said her daughter Vaishnavi suffered acid burns on her left hand and was taken to a hospital for treatment. In her complaint, Ms. Revathy said a month ago, she had apprehended Raja and handed him over to the Mount police station for stealing a mobile phone and a two-wheeler.
