Citadel 2 review: Priyanka Chopra-Kishore Kumar crossover is most striking flourish of this flashy series | Web-series News

6 min readLos AngelesUpdated: May 7, 2026 06:31 PM IST Citadel season 2 review: Joe Russo took matters into his hands with season 2 of Citadel by helming all the episodes. One half of the directors of  Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, he tries to recreate the template that made all these blockbusters emotionally resonant — balancing scale and slickness with emotion and gravitas. The second instalment is certainly a step above the forgettable first season, but it still has the emotional depth of a video game. Citadel season 2 starts exactly where the first part left us — Stanley Tucci’s top spy Bernard Orlick whips up a quick recap to get us up to speed with the events of season 1. After watching him tied to a chair for most part, it’s a relief to see him go all Jason Statham and get his hands dirty with some solid action. Fresh off The Devil Wears Prada 2, it’s all the more rewarding to see him burn the benevolent bad guy …

ICC Champions Trophy: New Zealand pacers flourish on spin-friendly track | Cricket News

ICC Champions Trophy: New Zealand pacers flourish on spin-friendly track | Cricket News

Of the three matches played here, the pitch for the India-New Zealand game was by far the toughest the batsmen had encountered. On a pitch that offered 4.5 degrees of turn – the most in the three fixtures so far — India posted the highest total of the tournament at this venue as their game plan against the New Zealand spinners worked. Yet as India walked back with 249/9 on board despite acing their match-up against spinners, picking 5.12 an over, there was a sense of disbelief as to how they didn’t get more. What prevented them from getting a total above par on this surface was the combination of Matt Henry (5/42) and an exceptional fielding performance which saw Glenn Phillips and Kane Williamson convert half-chances into catches that left India stunned. With the surface being on the slower side in the afternoon, Rohit Sharma lost another toss – the last time he won one was in the semi-final of the 2023 World Cup – and were made to bat first. While it definitely …

Prashant Kishor On Why A New Party Would Flourish In Bihar

Political strategist Prashant Kishor — marching through Bihar at the head of his ‘Jan Suraaj Yatra” — has said the state is ripe for a new political formation after 35 years of rule by ideologically similar Rashtriya Janata Dal of Lalu Yadav and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United. “Maximum anti-incumbency” is at play in the state and there is enough space for a new party to flourish, he has told news agency Press Trust of India. Mr Kishor’s march is expected to end with the announcement about the formation of a political party before the assembly polls in the latter half of the next year. Once the party takes shape, it will contest every election, Mr Kishor said. At least 75 people belonging to the Extremely Backward Classes category will be fielded by a single platform supported by his “Jan Suraaj” in the assembly polls, he has also said. Over the years, Bihar, one of the Hindi heartland states, has witnessed multi-cornered contests, with BJP, Congress, Lok Janshakti Party and other smaller groups …

Why Players Flourish After Joining CSK? Navjot Sidhu’s Million-Dollar MS Dhoni Response

Year after year, Chennai Super Kings continue to perform at the highest level of the Indian Premier League, qualifying for playoffs more often than not. CSK might not have the best group of players every season, but they often manage to get the best out of them. Players like Shane Watson, Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali, etc. have done wonders for the Super Kings after failing to create an impact in other IPL franchises. While many have mulled on the positive change in such players, former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu perfectly explained the reason behind this change, giving the due credit to MS Dhoni and CSK. In a chat on Star Sports, Sidhu came across various questions, ranging from MS Dhoni’s batting position to the role CSK play in uplifting the form of a player. When asked about the promotion of youngster Sameer Rizvi over MS Dhoni in the finisher’s role, Sidhu said that the franchise was right to put the uncapped Indian player higher in the batting order. “Talent is nothing without opportunity. You …

Finals flourish goes missing for Satwik-Chirag as they stutter in third straight summit clash | Badminton News

Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy had a formidable reputation. That when they go deeper in tournaments, they eventually win them. In 2022 and 2023, they won eight straight finals they contested on the circuit until China Masters late last year. It is a trend right from the start of their partnership except for the French Open in 2019. The run ended at the China Masters in November. Starting from that, the soon-to-be World No 1 pair have lost three straight finals. The latest defeat came on Sunday at the India Open Super 750 at the IG Stadium in Delhi. In a thrilling rollercoaster of a men’s doubles final, Satwik-Chirag went down 15-21, 21-11, 21-18 in a 65-minute battle against the reigning World Champions Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Seung Jae. While losing three straight finals, and two back-to-back is not ideal, perspective is important. Satwik and Chirag have made the best start to the year among all men’s doubles pairs over the first two major tournaments. They have beaten current and former world champions, the …
