Zomato is facing backlash for selling ‘fake paneer’ to restaurants through its B2B business service, Zomato Hyperpure. Although the product is clearly labelled “Analogue Paneer” on the Zomato Hyperpure website, it is marketed as “fit for tikka and gravy paneer dishes” by the manufacturer, raising concerns about food safety. District Superintendent of Police (SP) Subbarayudu on Thursday (September 26) issued orders which will remain in force till October 24 (Thursday). What is Section 30 of Police Act?  Under Section 30 of the Police Act 1861, meetings, rallies and processions can’t be organised without permission from the police. The SP has warned that stringent action will be taken against those violating the orders. Congress leader and Minister Vikramaditya Singh that the order was issued during a joint meeting with the Public Works Urban Development and Municipal Corporation.  “We did a meeting with the UD (Urban Development) and the Municipal Corporation. To make sure that hygienic food is sold, a decision has been taken for all the street vendors… especially those selling edible items,” Vikramaditya told the media. He added that people have expressed their concerns and doubts over the hygiene of the food sold on the streets.
