Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Police have stepped up security at the residence of Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the online movement Cockroach Janta Party , in Waluj MIDC area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city in Maharashtra, an officer said on Saturday. Maharashtra: Cops deployed at CJP founder Dipke’s residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city He said the security cover has been expanded to avoid unnecessary crowding as Dipke arrives in India. “If there is a need to deploy more manpower, we will do so after a review,” said DCP Pankaj Atulkar. He said Dipke’s parents are not currently staying at their house in the Waluj area. “They are not in contact with me,” he said, while refusing to share further details. The meteoric rise of satirical digital outfit Cockroach Janta Party on social media has left the parents of its founder, Abhijeet Dipke, overwhelmed by fears that he could land in trouble or even face arrest. The outfit, now popular as CJP, has garnered over 19 million followers on Instagram since it was founded barely a week ago by Boston University student Dipke, earlier associated with the Aam Aadmi Party. His parents Bhagwan and Anita Dipke, who live in Maharashtra`s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, told a Marathi news channel on Thursday that they were not keen on letting their son enter politics. Shiv Sena workers staged a protest outside the Renukai Career Centre (RCC) headquarters in Maharashtra’s Latur on Monday after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested the institute’s founder, reported the PTI. The accused identified as Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar was held by the CBI in connection with the alleged NEET paper leak case, the news agency reported. Supporters of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena gathered outside the coaching centre, raised slogans against Motegaonkar and threw ink on RCC signboards. Protesters accused him of damaging the future of lakhs of students by allegedly participating in the examination leak racket. Police personnel were deployed outside the building after large crowds, including students and parents, started gathering at the site from the morning. (Photo: US Department of Justice) A federal court in California has sentenced Punjab-origin Jashanpreet Singh, founder of the “Punjabi Devils” motorcycle club, to five years and four months in prison for illegally dealing firearms and possessing a machine gun, a statement released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) said. Singh, 27, a resident of Lodi, California, was sentenced by US district judge Dale A Drozd. The sentencing was announced by US attorney Eric Grant. According to court documents, Singh founded the Stockton-based “Punjabi Devils” motorcycle club, which authorities described as an outlaw biker gang associated with the Hells Angels. Federal investigators said that on June 6, 2025, Singh attempted to sell several illegal weapons to an undercover officer. The cache allegedly included a short-barreled rifle, three assault weapons, three machine-gun conversion devices, and a revolver. A subsequent search of Singh’s residence led officers to recover additional firearms, including a machine gun, another machine-gun conversion device and a silencer. …
